Come and Work With Us
From our home in Liverpool we create world-class theatre for home and beyond. From London to Dublin, we create theatre for all.
PurpleCoat believe that finance shouldn't be a barrier to accessing art. We aim to provide world-class classical theatre by breaking down social barriers and working with local, undiscovered actors and creatives.
Theatre is, and can be, for all.
So what are you waiting for? We're a nice bunch who don't play by the rules, and we would love to welcome you into the family.
Please; say hello. We'd love to hear from you.

Hello and Happy New Year!
We are delighted to be back for 2017 with a whole new range of touring shows, Young Actors Productions and more. We had a fantastic 2016 and we're looking forward to building on this success in the New Year as part of our Homecoming Season.
Over Easter, our Young Actors Company will return with The Rover. Written by Britain's first female playwright, this swashbuckling rollercoaster will bring a fitting close to our Shakespeare's Contempoaries Season.
We're delighted to announce our first paid work scheme this year, as we invite new creatives to design, produce and direct shows with us. Cast and crew will be getting paid in a massive milestone for us. The House of Bernarda Alba and The Homecoming will be presented between May-July as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.
Our season finale will take us back to Smock Alley in
Dublin in August. In the fashion of our Hamlet - Midsummer double-bill in the city in 2015, we will return to Ireland with a blood-soaked Richard III and a new version of the Greek tragedy, The Oresteia.
We look forward to sharing the process with you.
